My name is Ahmed Shujaau. I am an experienced hospitality industry professional with a demonstrated History of working in Result oriented properties for over two decades. I Started my career in the hospitality industry in the biggest Local company of the Republic of Maldives “Universal Enterprises” as a floor supervisor in the lagoon view resort in the year 2000. 

After spending a wonderful one year of learning from the very best I moved to the kihaadhuffaru resort as Assistant housekeeper. I was always determined to work in one of the biggest hospitality chains in the world and when one and only came calling I never had a second thought as I headed to one and only properties in the Maldives as Mini Bar Supervisor and as senior Butler in one and only Kanuhura.

After a successful 8 years’ fruitful stunt at One and Only, I shifted my focus on Being committed to Housekeeping in senior level as I was appointed Assistant Executive Housekeeper in Centara Grand island and Spa. I have worked in the biggest brands in the Maldives as I worked as Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Floor Manager in Velaa Private Island and Cheval Blanc Randell Respectively. I was always loved by my staff as I am friendly and have always kept a very good team with me for a very long time. 

I am always smiling nature makes everyone love me in the job environment and my distinctive welfare skills and sporty attitude makes me one of the favorites of all the staffs in every property I have worked in the last 22 years. My last Job was Executive Housekeeper and Front of house manager in the prestigious Fairmont Sirru Fen Fushi. I Completed my primary Education in my native island of LH.Naifaru in historical madhrasathul Ifthithaah. I have done numerous additional short term training and courses to enhance my knowledge of the tourism industry.

Winning the Asia award is unbelievably awesome. It is one of the best things that has ever happened in my career. It is wonderful to receive not just recognition but awards that raise my profile. It makes me feel quite confident and loyal towards my job.
