Ahmeema Luthfee has bagged Asia's Online Teaching Excellence Award

Ms. AhmeemaLuthfee, a PhD Candidate in Management and Science University in Malaysia,has been one of the pioneering leaders at Feydhoo School since she joined the institution a decade backas a Leading Teacher. Shehad previously worked in other educational establishments having started her career in 2001.

Ms. AhmeemaLuthfee has achieved Asia’s Online Teaching Excellence Award" bagged by Asia Awards powered by RULA Awards for her outstanding contributionin supporting the continuation of teaching and learning at a national level during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Right from the beginning of the nationwide lockdown following the spread of the pandemic, Ms. AhmeemaLuthfee had beenpreparing students across the Maldives via online platforms for the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics exam which they would be sitting for, this year.

Ms. AhmeemaLuthfee was a pillar of strength providing the essential emotional support for hundreds of students across the Maldives via online platformsas they grappled with the extraordinary circumstances of being under lockdown during the school year.

While the 2020 O’levelstudents throughout the Maldives prepared to sit for IGCSE Mathematics exam weighed down with uncertainties,Ms. AhmeemaLuthfeehelped to keep their spiritsup by tirelessly guiding them via online platforms.

 

It was with sharp foresight that she undertook the organizing of video editing workshops for teachers all over the Maldives in 2020 to further strengthen their competency in online teaching.

Ms. AhmeemaLuthfeeshowed her dedication to improving the numeracy skills of Feydhoo School students by successfully orchestrating various activities and competitions. Her devotion to help students is manifest in her dealings with under-performing students andstudents with challenging circumstances.
