I am Aliyar Meyyan Pichchy, a name synonymous with entrepreneurial success and unwavering social responsibility. My journey from humble beginnings to becoming a respected business leader and a beacon of social change has been nothing short of remarkable.

I was born in the picturesque village of Katuwanwila, nestled in the Polonnaruwa District of Sri Lanka. My journey began with a resolute determination to break free from the constraints of my modest background. Early on, I exhibited an innate entrepreneurial spirit, an insatiable hunger for knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to creating a brighter future, not only for myself but also for my community.

In 2010, I founded Fumax Marketing (PVT) Ltd, an import and distribution company that would soon become a prominent player in the industry. Under my leadership, Fumax Marketing expanded its operations to encompass a diverse range of products, including agriculture machinery, power tools, spare parts, used vehicles, and more. Our mission was clear: to empower communities by delivering top-quality products sourced from various countries, including China, India, Dubai, Australia, and Japan.

Our dedication to excellence and commitment to quality earned Fumax Marketing numerous accolades and awards, solidifying our reputation as an industry leader. My vision and tireless efforts turned a modest startup into a thriving enterprise with a global footprint.

But my contributions extend beyond the realm of business. I have been a steadfast advocate for social responsibility, earning recognition not only as a successful businessman but also as one of the best socially responsible citizens. For over 30 years, I have actively participated in various social activities that have left an indelible impact on my community.

Among my many achievements in the realm of social responsibility, I have received awards, certificates, medals, and rewards for my outstanding contributions. These accolades serve as a testament to my unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those less fortunate and creating a more inclusive society.

My dedication to social responsibility reached its pinnacle when I participated in the Lions Club International Convention in 2023 held in Boston, USA. As a member of the Lions Club - Kandy (Dhumbura), I have consistently supported and actively engaged in community service projects that uplift the underprivileged.

In addition to my Lions Club involvement, I also serve as the Chairman and Captain of the Menchester Hard Ball Cricket Club, where I promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among athletes.

My advocacy for education is unwavering. I have consistently provided fixed donations to schools, colleges, and religious activities, making a significant impact on the educational landscape of my community.

But that's not all. I've also been honored with 'Deshamanya, Viyaapara Vibooshana, Vishvabhimani,' one of the highest awards presented to a citizen of Sri Lanka, honoring my exceptional service to the community.
