Amerjan Siddiq has bagged Asia's Outstanding Chief Instructor Award

Sensei Amerjan Siddiq is a karate chief instructor who has 35 years of experience in Martial arts. He was born on the 8th of August, 1971.

Amerjan Siddiq attended St. Sebestian Tamil Maha vidyalaya in Colombo 12. He has completed his education up to the Advance level. Apart from the academic career, he was also very keen on sports. He participated in more sports events like athletics, long jump, high jump, triple jump, and outdoor games like football. He has been the captain of his school wrestling team. He was also in prefect board and band squad. Being devoted to the school, he has committed himself as a part of the old boys association. He has been a treasurer for two years and currently the vice president.

Amerjan siddiq is the eldest child born with six siblings. He started his career in sports by the age of 10 years. Under his father's guidance, Siddiq and his brother took up wrestling in Armstrong club, Kochikathe, Colombo. He got trained for four years under his wrestling master Weerasinghe. He participated in all the events and had received the national and western province championship. He had to change his passion to Karate because of his height issue.

He started the journey on karate in 1986 in the Nihon karate-do kenshinkai karate organization. He learned several techniques from his master sensei N.M.Thaseem. After advancing through the skills, he had achieved many awards and won the championship in nationals and western provinces. His better performance has earned him opportunities to teach the students from the same organization. With the guidance and support of his master, he changed his style into new full-contact karate ( Shinzen Karate Organization) in 2002. He visited Iran and trained for four months. He joined with his grandmaster kancho Yusuf Shirzard in Iran, and he began the professional career as the Sri Lanka branch chief instructor in the same style. He had participated in many tournaments. Also, he has been a chief guest of many events. Amerjan Siddiq has received the Action king Award from Nilapiriyan Academy for his excellent performance. 

Firstly, he started a dojo (Classes) at his school. With the development, there are more than 200 students in his organization. Amerjan Siddiq is a member of the Sri Lanka Karate-do Federation. Most of his students had participated in the Sri Lanka karate-do federation National tournaments and have received the championship. He developed five branches in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Amerjan Siddiq had organized an open tournament championship every year where students participate from different styles island-wide. He also was involved in many social activities.

In 2009, he moved to Japan and joined in shitoku kai karate organization with his grandmaster kancho juichi honya. He got the Sri Lanka branch chief instructor in the same style. In 2012, he became the Asian coordinator. He has opened up branches in Iran, Nepal, India, Dubai, Maldives. The head office in Japan. He participated in over 40 (age) tournament in Japan. He is the vice president of the Sri Lanka full-contact karate organization. Currently, there are 400 and more students in his branches.

Amerjan Siddiq has established himself as a chief instructor with 20 years of experience. As a Karate chief instructor, he has demonstrated and explained the skills of karate. He has helped students learn basic rules, stances, grips, movements, and techniques of karate.
