Early Life
Sri Govinda B Poojari,
has always believed that "Poverty can never be a hindrance to achievement". He
has always demonstrated how to be successful person by embracing specific goal
through hard work, persistence and perseverance.
He was born in Bijoor
village in the year 1977, to "Melpankthi Doddamaney shri Babu poojari" and
"Bijoor chammanahitlu Srimathi Manajamma". Born in a poor family he had
experienced poverty first hand, But he always dreamt of big successful life and
to give back to the country by lending his hand in social works and be a part
of his success story.
Coming from a
financially backward agricultural family, Mr. Govinda Babu Poojari had a
responsibility to uphold his family and hence started working at the age of
13.
Early
Education and Work
After completing his
primary education from 1st to 4th grade, at Bijoor Government Senior Primary
School, he stayed at the Government Hostel, Byndoor, where he attended the 7th
grade at Byndoor Model School. Being the eldest son of the family, he had to
move out in search of employment to Mumbai. He then attended night school to
pursue a degree in hotel management to quench his thirst of knowledge.
Govinda Poojary's early
Mumbai life was not easy on him. He spent 5 years working day and night in a
small hotel in Nalasopara. Later he joined the AST Canteen and continued to
earn his living. This is where he gained experience and specialized in the art
of cooking.
He also tried his hands
setting up pan shop in Mumbai. This early failure never set him a back from
pursuing his dreams. He then started working as an assistant cook. With his
dedication and hard work, he was promoted as a cook and then touched greater
heights in his career as an Executive Chef at various 5-star Hotels.
With the zeal to achieve
the vision he initially started a small catering business employing 4-5 workers.
Continues hard work and dedication of the team helped the catering business,
see a break through. This also encouraged him to open branches at various
places in Mumbai.
He always wanted to
create employment hence with this vision he started a company called “Cheftalk
Food & Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd.” in Mumbai. Now, Cheftalk has
employed more than 4500+ employees and is present across 6 states of
India.
Mr. Poojari quotes “I’ll
never forget the blessings God has given for my hard work and I still believe
in giving back to the society with what God has given to me.” Hence he started
philanthropist activities along with the business expansion. He formed a trust
called “Sri Varalaxmi Charitable Trust” to lend a helping hand to the needy in
all possible ways.
Mr Govinda B Poojary
attends RSS Camps regularly. He is also an RSS Swayamsevak. RSS
vision of Rise above all the divisive tendency of caste, religion, creed,
region and language always fascinated Mr. Poojary. The teaching of
RSS has always helped Mr. poojary in making right decisions in business
and personal life keeping in mind that, we may live or not but the
motherland will survive for ages with the deeds we do. Mr Poojary and
his team helped 6000+ families with food kit during the Covid-19 pandemic
and helped several others with food and shelter.

the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike
(BBMP) opened 101 Indira Canteens on August 16, contracts
were awarded to two vendors. Chef Talk Food & Hospitality Services and
Rewards. Chef Talk was given responsibility to handle 16 canteens
-one in every 16 Assembly Constituency -where food would be prepared for
several among the 110 indira canteens under BBMP. Presently, Chef
Talk's managing director Govinda B Poojari has the daunting task of
catering to 70 canteens from three kitchens.
