Born on August 8,1982 in Colombo, Dilruk was raised
with strong values of perseverance and determination. He attended Anura Central
College, Yakkala. (Sri Lanka) where he completed his education up to the advanced
levels. Even during his early years, his academic and personal interests
aligned towards a career where he could make a tangible difference in people’s
lives. He understood the value of security and protection, and the field of
insurance naturally appealed to him.
After completing his schooling. Dilruk sought to
further enhance his knowledge and skills through higher education. He pursued a
Diploma in Insurance at the University of Wayamba. (Sri Lanaka)
which laid the foundation for his expertise in insurance. Never one to settle
for mediocrity, Dilurk continued his academic pursuits, earning a Higher
Diploma in Insurance from Sanasa Campus (Sri Lanka). His thirst for
knowledge also led him to achieve a Bsc.(Sp) Degree in Insurance and Risk
Management, which equipped him with a strong understanding of both
theoretical and practical aspects of the insurance industry. Additionally, he
studied Financial Sales Management at the Sri Lanka Institute of
Marketing (SLIM) which provided him with vital skills to navigate the
competitive world of sales. He also studied at the Association of Accounting
Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT). Showcasing his well- rounded approach to
professional development.

At just 19 Years old in 2001, Dilruk Pathirana
entered the insurance industry as an entry-Level insurance agent. His first position
was at Ceylinco Life Insurance, the number one insurance company in Sri

the Best Performer in the Unit Head Category every year, demonstrating

within the club including Club President, Regent Chairman, Zone Chairperson,
