Ismaël graduated with a B.Eng (Hons) Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 2005. In the same year, he joined the Central Electricity Board where he is now working as a Senior Engineer. He leads a team of engineers and linesmen in the construction of new transmission networks across Mauritius. He completed his Master in Business Administration from the Management College of Southern Africa in 2011 and his PhD by research in 2021 in the field of Renewable Energy Integration.
Besides, Ismaël values giving back to society and is highly involved in training, coaching and mentoring for the past decade in Engineering, Management and Leadership. He has upskilled his leadership abilities by becoming a Certified John C Maxwell Coach, Speaker and Trainer. He is an NLP Certified Coach as well as a member of the Chartered Management Institute, UK.
He has been the Chairperson of various NGOs like the Junior Chamber International (Quatre Bornes) and the local branch of the Institution of Engineering & Technology. Today he offers free training and grooming opportunities to the young members of these organisations and to the broader Mauritian audience.
Ismaël is passionate about sharing his experience and bringing life to the concepts contained in books with his real life examples. He likes the challenge of working with millennials who get him out of his comfort zone and allows him to grow in the process. It is with great pleasure and humility that Ismael is a pound recipient of Asia’a Coaching & Development Leadership Award from Asia Awards, powered by Rula Awards. This award will encourage him to pursue his quest to empower more people into discovering a better version of themselves.
