PAT as he is fondly known from young was born in Kuala Lipis, Pahang to a Railway Employee Mr. G.Perumal and housewife, Madam M.Mariaie. He was the youngest of 7 sibling, among 3 sister and 3 brothers. The family moved places to where his father was transferred for work. He received his early education at King George V Primary, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan untill standard 3, then to standard 4 at Sekolah Tengku Bendahara Azman, within the vicinity.
