MaxVue Vision Sdn Bhd has bagged Asia's Outstanding Contact Lens Manufacturer Award

1) HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION 

Maxvue Vision Vision Sdn Bhd is a fully Malaysian owned company which is an  ISO9001/ISO13485 accredited organization. Our products are certified to stringent global  standards such as European CE, Canada CAMCAS, Australia TGA, Singapore HAS &  Malaysia MDA. In the year 2021, we have been recognised by SME CORP Malaysia by  certified us with 4 stars rating for SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement (  SCORE). Our products are manufactured in accordance with these requirements using state  of the art manufacturing technology and materials. Maxvue Vision existed from 2005, which  is 16 years now; we have been continuously improving from a small company to now a contact lenses supplier worldwide.  

Mr Selvam Kanniah–Founder and CEO of Maxvue Vision started his first business as  software development for customers along with two other friends. After got married, he left  the business and moved to Singapore to start his journey as Senior Software Engineer and  eventually got promoted as R&D Manager for SHARP, Singapore. 

In 2005 when co-founder Mrs Viji R Pillai was pregnant after 5 years after her  marriage, she decided to resign to avoid any complications. Curious to start something, she  recalled a customer enquired if she could help him source for branded contact lenses in her  previous company – a distributor of cosmetic products After some brainstorming and  research with Mr Selvam, the couple realized contact lenses are the perfect choice to start  their business from home. Therefore, they created Maxvue Vision Vision Sdn. Bhd. As the  product is very lightweight, low value and doesn’t require large storage space. Working  persistently, Mr Selvam and Mrs Viji managed to attract buyers from the Netherlands and  Japan with his business communication skills. 

During the first 8 months in business in 2005, they managed to obtain sales of about  RM3.4 million, mostly from the Japanese customer. Both of them do all the  preparation and packaging work in the home. The first packaging, design done by Selvam  and leaflets as well on his design and given for printing to start our brand. In January 2006,  Selvam relocated their business to Seremban and set up a proper office with 2 staff. He  started the ideas and found ways to export the product to Europe, Canada and the USA.

Maxvue Vision Vision gives a variety of platter for the customer to choose from  ColourVUE®, Phantasee®, Crazy lens, Lumina Lens, Maxvue Vision Hydrosoft™,  Airsoft™, Flash™,HisToric, BluSafe, Diva hazel,Max Optifresh Solutions®, Bioplus  Solutions and Eyedrop  

Maxvue Vision Vision ‘s products are now retailed in the world’s largest chains like  Luxottica (open in Australia & New Zealand), Alain-Affleleu which in Spain & Portugal,  Vision Lab in Portugal and Specsavers in Australia. The proud thing is that our brand  ColourVUE is the only color lens brand sold in these stores next to Freshlook colours, which  is from the contact lens giant Alcon. We have opened an office in India and Singapore. We are also looking forward to expanding in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. 

Today 2021,Maxvue Vision successfully has 7 in-house brands marketed in more than 70  countries worldwide with 40 staff. More than 30 OEM brand made for local celebrities and  international chain stores

4) STRATEGY  

The major strategy of the company is to provide the customer needs either by the  Malaysian brand or private OEM brands. Surprisingly, most of the customers reach out to  Malaysian products more than the private OEM brands. 

Other strategies include achieving sales goals such as: 

Sales turnover to reach 1,000,000 boxes per year.  

Incoming receiving goods to reach 98.5% per year.  

Final packing yield to reach 99% per year.  

Shipment performance to reach 100% per year.  

Customers complains not more than 20 cases per year.  

Training hours for each employee to reach 8 hours minimum per year.

Maxvue Vision will always keep in line with the trend of the market, where the public  prefer the most out lenses from time to time. We will launch new designs every year to  maintain our footstep in the market. ColourVUE had the widest range of coloured & crazy  lens compare to others brand, and we keep stock for every contact lens we have, which not 

every competitor does. Currently, Maxvue has its distribution reaching more than 70  countries including islands like Maldives, Fiji island and Reunion islands. The e-commerce  giant, Amazon UK retails Maxvue lenses directly.

Coloured lens – Our coloured lens offered the widest range selection of coloured lenses, our  cosmetic and costume lenses are segmented into 3 brands, ColourVUE, Phantasee and Flash.  ColourVUE being a premium brand is mainly marketed through optical outlets, while the rest  available as non-prescription via online and beauty outlets 

NEW -Lumina – the new trend of having light-eyed colour for Asian, MAXVUE VISION  coloured lenses offered the widest range of coloured lenses, from natural to glamour  suitable for every occasion either working or dinner.  

Crazy lenses - MAXVUE VISION crazy lens is the first leading in worldwide, are designed  to offer funky and wild looking eyes that match with carnival or cosplay costumes. We are the  most popular company that sells 22mm sclera lens and the first to introduce a UV glow lens  which glows under UV light.  

Maxvue Vision Hydrosoft - Our moisture-loving hydrogel material and precision edge  design deliver outstanding Full-day comfort. High Definition Aspheric Design helps reduce  the appearance of blurriness, halos and glare across a full range of conditions 

Maxvue Vision Airsoft – The new Airsoft lenses launched in Aug 2016 offers great  comfort and fitting. The improved edge design offers excellent comfort and zero lens  awareness. Improved surface design reduces deposit issue, enhancing comfort and extending  wear duration.  

Maxvue Vision BioPlus EyedropS, Maxvue Vision OptiFresh® Moisturizing & Comfort  Drops, Multi Purpose Solution - is specially formulated drops and solutions that are used in  the treatment of dry and sensitive eyes for all soft contact lens wearers and to keep the lenses  properly clean and safe to wear. 

NEW - ChromaGen – Contact lenses specifically designed for color blindness customers. 

Bandage Contact Lens –Clear contact lens for medical purposes for patients with scarred  corneas.

Maxvue Vision Shade - It specifically blocks excess brightness, which makes these lenses  similar to sunglasses, except in contact lens form.

7) CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 

Maxvue Vision is known very well for its CSR towards the community and we have  been recognized and honored by The Star in the year 2017and 2019 by awarding us Best  In CSR. With corporate social responsibility programs, when corporations exhibit  philanthropic behavior, they are more likely to provide employees with a positive workplace.  Consequently, employees feel engaged and productive when they walk into work each day.  Business environments are more enjoyable when companies engage in corporate social  responsibility. Because of this close relationship that employees share with their company,
