Parthiban Mathuramuthu has bagged Asia's Outstanding Social Worker Award

I'm honored and grateful to Asia Awards in association with Rula Awards and World Chamber as online media partners for recognizing my ongoing contributions and untiring effort of community service with “Asia’s Outstanding Social Worker Award”. On behalf of all awardees, I took this opportunity to thank the Asia Awards Board of Management for recognizing the right person out of their individual field categories.

My first breath started to puff off on 26 August 1968 at 11.40pm in the state of Penang  Malaysia to a lovely couple of Mr. Mathuramuthu Rethinasamy and Madam Jagathambal  Murugiah. I was then acknowledged as Parthiban Mathuramuthu among family members and grown up in a middle-class family with secondary level education.

The interest of serving the community started to plant in my blood ever since my primary  age when I used to follow my late father for his community service. As I closely observe his mankind service, my involvement took another one step further when I enrolled myself  to the Hindu Youth Organisation (HYO) Butterworth on 13 April 1988 with membership  no 338. My late father was once a member too from the same organisation with membership no 024 on 25th July 1976. Since then, I never look back in my Social Service which were a colorful journey experience that one can't explain by words.

Joined as an ordinary member, it took step by step for me to build my leadership until I was elected as President of the Hindu Youth Organisation Butterworth from 24 April 2003  until 15 February 2009 and later been appointed to the Advisory Board from 4 March 2009  until 26 March 2018.

My wings were also spread to State and National Level with respective management posts. Elected as an Executive Council of Penang State Hindu Youth Council from 1992 until 1994 and later to their Advisory Board from 9 Dec 2008 until 25 Oct 2020. In the National body I was elected as an Executive Council of Malaysian Hindu Youth Council from 2005 until 30 Nov 2008 Every starting is sure to end one day. Therefor under the law of Youth Act of Malaysia, I officially hand over my youth management position on 15 February 2009.

Moving further from the youth body, myself as a Founder and Secretary of Pertubuhan  Alumni HYO Butterworth which was registered on 27 September 2017, created history by  becoming the 1st Alumni HYO Branch level in the Nation. From there my journey in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) continues with programs towards the society from youth to eldest.

Our vision is to serve the needs in whichever ways with our own capacity. To achieve it we are collaborating with relevant Government Departments, Private Sectors, Professionals and Other Organization to achieve our aim Along my journey, I / we have bagged several Recognitions and Awards under the Organization and Individual categories.
