After he finished  his studies he worked 13 years in store keeping field in resorts and  industrial companies. At last he worked as Engineering Store Assistance  & still overall in-charge in Project Store of Soneva Jani Sustainable Project  as a Head of Store Section.

Not only that, but also Worked as Project  Store Officer at Soneva Jani Sustainable Development Project. Since from  April 2015, as a TVET Course Coordinator Ministry of Youth & Sport at  the year of 2010, and as a Head storekeeper of Villa Hakatha PVT LTD of  Villa Shipping and Trading Company from 2010 to 2015. He has also  worked as General storekeeper & Engineering Storekeeper in Sun Travel  & Tours Pvt Ltd resort called “The beach House at Manafaru” (Now JA  Manafaru Resort) During Project and Operation from 2007 to 2009. Even  when he was in these jobs he had an utmost love for sports and had been  the manager for villa hakatha football team for 3 years & many more  sports activities as well.

His road to starting the academy, started during the covid  pandemic. Covid-19 was spreading rapidly in the country and the country  had to go into lockdown. Schools were closed and online classes were started. It's no surprise when we say that online classes can’t monitor  students as well as normal classes. This include monitoring kid’s disciple  and their physical health. This was the biggest concern for Hamid, as his  home also had many kids who were going through it. Unlike others he  didn’t want to only resolve the issues for his family but to everyone in  the island. So he got to thinking of ways he can do so.

After much thinking, planning and discussion, he came up with the  idea of making an academy for sports, that not focus on children’s  physical health but their disciple and determination as well. He named  the academy “RV sports academy” RV standing for “Rhivilu” his home  representing the support he gets from his family.

He started the preparation for the academy right away. Purchased  and Imported high quality sports equipment in bulk, designed and  made uniforms of all sizes for students and trainers. After all this hard  work he officially registered on 27th of December 2020. To this day his  academy has more than 150 registered students between the age  categories of 5 years to 16 years with qualified trainers. Through this  journey, Hamid himself, is a certified beach handball coach and an indoor  handball coach of the Maldives.

Hamid is very thankful for everyone that’s been a collaboration to  the success of RV Sports Academy, and hope that his students participate  in international competitions and bring glory to the island and country.  he is also really grateful that he was given an international award like an  Asian award by RULA Awards and that that accomplishment is a new  strength for him to try harder in this path.
