Shaa Beauty Salon was opened on July 2015, the salon has opened to provide all beauty services. Our aim is to target beauty services for the general public for all genders and all ages. I firstly target to market for this business to women, as they are the people who always look after their beauty and health more concern than men. In the current generation of young girls also like to maintain the beauty and smart looking. Of course, the Boys and Mens also spent lot for mainly hair treatments and good looking hair style in the modern world.

Business Details

Beauty industry is highly competitive business in Maldives. Day by day new salon businesses are establishing Individually in Maldives. So, I did very hard work to compete with others to make this business to a successful one like today.  Many challenges I have faced by continuing Shaa Beauty Salon at first few months, but I tried to overcome all milestone I had faced earlier days of this business. I have rented a place and hired talented the staff from abroad, since I don’t get local beauticians available for these type of professional businesses in Maldives and their salary, accommodation was not easy to bear at starting days of this business.

Business Capacity & Financial Information.

I opened the salon without support of any partner or bank loan, completely Shaa beauty Salon is my 100% owned business, when I was working in STELCO, the amount I had saved was allocated to open in different sectors of Shaa Beauty Salon, rent, accommodation, staff salary, products and other expenses etc.

When the salon started getting more customers, I weekly offer competitive rates on haircuts, that most go for barbers shops, I make haircut promotion for men and kids for MVR 50/- , for women  150/-. I Offer Facials at the cheapest rate in town. Shaa Beauty Salon ‘Motive’ is to offer the reasonable and affordable services to the general public. That I have already achieved by now. I have clients who are appreciating the quality services, they are giving positive feedback to Shaa Beauty Salon on Facebook pages and verbally as well.

Shaa Beauty salon all technical services are doing my Husband Abdul Shakoor, who is always  supporting to my business.

Human Resources

Shaa Beauty Salon has 2 staff, they are foreigners, from Nepal and Indonesia, and I am giving services to my special clients with them. They are multi-talented in this beauty field. They are our stone, they are the ones who are creating the more customers by their hard working. They are the ones that are selling my products, and they are the one who are making my business rises up or down.  So its my duty to award them for their excellent services. My staff are extremely happy to work with me. Most of  Shaa beauty salon clients positive feedback was about my staff caring and wonderful services they get from them, their feedback are that our staff are very friendly, caring and the services they provided are very quality.

I am Aminath Shazla, owner and Managing Partner of Shaa Beauty Salon, dedicated Salon owner with over 6 years of experience in the beauty industry. Driven and hardworking with broad experience creating, enhancing and developing Clients’ appearance. Adept new styling and assistants, creating and submitting weekly advertisements and attending all incoming calls.  Training to my Salon foreign staff as well as Maldivians.  Managing and taking responsibilities of business, customer service, and overall salon tasks.

I have opened Shaa Beauty Salon when I was working in State Electric Company Limited. I am a hard working entrepreneur in this field trying to get success in my carrier. I have to try to compete with other businesses with a great effort, I have to create new ideas and new marketing strategies to genetrate to this sector, it’s a challenging job to run a Salon personally. I have to always try to deal clients with new ideas. Most of my salon clients give feedback of the quality and caring services that I provide them, when they are getting service from Shaa Beauty Salon, most of the clients appreciate our services. Always I get positive feedback. 

The world have experienced many difficulties due to pandemic lock down for covid 19 disaster, hunger, job losses of different sectors are still going on, the challenges I faced due to covid 19 and facing at present are numerous. With this difficult times I am managing my business with great affort and running my salon with paying huge rent for my Salon premises. Due to covid 19.  I have gone through much difficulties, staff salary, and getting products from locally and abroad is quite difficult in this situation, to manage and do all these works and bear the huge expenses being a hectic task. Completely a very talented and multi task and hard-working person can only do such works in these types of crises and situations.

·      Attended Master Class and get certified, of Celebrity Hair Stylist of Jamila Poul in 2019.

·    Shaa Beauty Salon and my experiences and success story Ire telecasted from Raajje TV Fisaari Kanbalun show on December 2018.

·       Shaa Beauty Salon and my success story was telecasted business program of Raaje Tv twice on the month of June 2021.

·     Shaa Beauty Salon and my Success story was telecasted business program of Television Maldives on the month July 2021.
