Suthesan Jeyaramah has bagged Asia's Outstanding Graphics Designer Award

Vanakam and warm greetings to all, Im Suthesan Jeyaramah  35 years old from Malaysia and have been practicing Graphic Design for the past 11 years. Working as Graphic Designer cum Editor in Astro (Local Television Company). As the founder  of  Aum Design, I always wanted to work on more creative designs. In the beginning I started to design for Concerts, Shortfilms and slowly started getting involved in local movies.

I have more than 11 years of experience in the graphic design industry and have worked on countless local, as well as regional projects. My projects for Singapore include designing posters for Adukku Veetu Annasamy Season 2, as well as Vadi Ready Vedi Season 2. In addition, I have also worked on Indian projects such as Thatpam Thavir movie, and a short film called Lockdown. The project that gave me international recognition is “Lockdown” Pilot, a Kollywood project starring CWC Sunita and Padian Store Fame Kumaran in lead roles. This project poster was launched by “Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’s” director, Desingh Periyasamy and Ayalaan’s director, Ravikumar Rajendran.

THATPAM THAVIR” is also another project I worked on which is a kollywood project. Other notable projects I have worked on include KL Vampires, directed by Daven R and collaboration work with Kukubesi on “Mael Totey.”

Locally, I have offered expertise in designing for Astro projects including Comedy Mandram, Sirikatheenga Please, and Deepavali Ragalaiz, among others. The more you design, the more likely you are to reach out to clients.  It doesn’t have to be a big project, even simple fan-made posters would do.When I was a kid, one of the things that influenced me was my favorite programme, ‘Art Attack.’  I’m sure most of the 90’s kids are familiar with this well-known show, Following that, I happened to be an art stream student, which aroused my interest and inspired me to learn more about this field.I was offered an opportunity to continue his studies at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) after finishing secondary school, but I had to decline the offer because the course offered to me was business-related.

I pursued my dream by enrolling in the Bachelor of Graphic Design programme at KLMUC, thanks to the unwavering support and encouragement of my family members. This is the moment where I had a major turning point in life after his small-scaled projects led him to bigger projects. For me, everyone, every single person who crosses my life is an inspiration.

I personally look up to several well-known designers from the Tamil film industry, they are Prathool, Tuney John, and Gopi Prasannaa. They are my inspiration in this field.

Another reason I’m still going strong in this profession is my late mother, who has been a pillar of support for me throughout this journey.Everyone criticized me for not picking an office-related profession, but she backed me and trusted that I was making the right decision by pursuing this career. Her blessing is the only thing that keeps me going.I can now say that I made her proud by establishing myself through international projects.

My latest project is the ongoing project ‘Vadi Ready Vedi-Season 2’ under Mediacorp Singapore where he worked as a Publicity Designer and Motion Graphics Designer. In the future, I intend to build a studio of international standards and recruit talented designers in hopes of producing Tamil movie posters as well as posters for Hollywood films.

I'm so happy to have received the Asia Awards presented by RULA Awards, which appreciates and recognises individuals who excel in their fields. I was awarded under “Asia’s Creative Awards” with the title “Asia’s Outstanding Graphic Designer Award”.

The Award came as a shock as it was my first after 11 years in this industry. As shocked as I was, I felt happy because finally, My late mum and dad's dreams came true. This award actually makes me work harder( In the industry) and achieve more.

I would like to thank Rula Awards and Asia Awards for giving me an opportunity to build my brand stronger by winning the award. And heartfelt thanks to the World Research Congress. For those who are looking for a Graphic Designer for youth projects do contact us. Thank you.
