Tharani Subramaniam grew up as third child in family with consist of total 8 siblings. I grew up in a small neighborhood at a rural area in Kangkar Pulai, Johor. I started my early studies in Kangkar Pulai Tamil School in the year of 1992 and completed my secondary education (SPM) in the year of 2002. Due to family situations and unavoided circumstances, I have to start working without any plan to continue my further education. 

My family situation makes me have a soft corner on the needy and poor people around. I started to set a goal that I will need to work hard to help my family financially and also the need to help those in need. I also worked to pay my bills and, after several jobs, I started working for a construction firm for 4 years. From there, I aimed to meet my potential, take on new challenges, but I didn't strive hard to go beyond expectations. After some time, I manage to participate in Transgender Beauty Contest 2009 and I won the winner of the tittle as Miss Johor Bahru, Miss Photogenic and Best Costume/Dress. 

This is my achievement in my entire life which leads me to have more confidence in myself and my ability. Then in 2012 I organized a beauty contest under my own supervision and successfully completed it with so many praises and appraisals. This event is a stepping stone for my entire life. I kept being positive and started to tick for my goals that I have achieved throughout the year. I started to collect funds to help those in need. I have undergone so many obstacles in my life to achieve my life goals but I never give up. That positive mind set of mine leads to who I am now. 

Moving forward, I started my own boutique business under Sai Suddarshan Enterprise in the year of 2014, and RT Razor Cut barber shop in 2019, and continue with JB Bestway Cleaning Services in 2020. Nevertheless I have been busy with my businesses, I vigorously focus on my charity events and social services which are my priority as well. 

I’m truly honored to be awarded the Asia Awards for the Year 2021 powered by RULA Awards. Without any need of further clarification, the Asia Awards offers a major international platform to recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance, and celebrate the continents’ higher education excellence in all of its diversity. Thank you for your generosity in providing this Award, as this will be an awesome platform in helping me to achieve my both professional and personal life goals.

I segregate my golden few hours weekly for charity and public welfare matters where I do give most priority on this. I believe that someday I may inspire the younger generations, just like the way your award has inspired me. Thank you so much for your great support, I feel that I am one step closer to achieving my lifetime goal. This award is very precious, meaningful, satisfies my self-satisfaction and also emotionally very happy, and it has strengthened my belief in myself. Thank you Asia Award for helping me to achieve my dreams. 

This is certainly the proudest moment in my life. I feel really appreciated and valued to receive this honorable award in the humanitarian and welfare aspect of my entire life. This award will help me to remain more humble and dedicated to the social work that I have started many years ago. 

During my career, I had the opportunity to collaborate and work hand-in-hand with many fine, smart and absurdly extraordinary people from various experiences of life. I would like to thank each of them for all the productive interaction and profile exchange of ideas, which I would carry throughout my life journey for the progress and betterment of mankind. 

Firstly, my special thanks to my beloved parents, Mr & Mrs Subramaniam Sinthamaney, who is my pillar of strength and unconditional love given by them and great support ever given throughout my life. I would like to thank my husband Mr. Ramesh who is my special life partner, siblings and family members who have always been very supportive till now. I would like to take this opportunity to also thank all those who support me financially, moral support and also other support to help those in need that leads to this award ceremony today. Once again I would like to thank again to the Asia Award powered by RULA Awards for all these special arrangements. This will be the most memorable day in my life. Thank you.
