I am deeply honored to serve as the Chief Nursing
Officer at Royale Hayat Hospital, Kuwait, where I lead with a vision to advance
nursing excellence, foster patient-centered care, and empower the professional
growth of healthcare staff. Nursing, to me, is not just a profession but a
calling rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that care extends
beyond treatment—it touches lives, builds trust, and restores hope.
My journey began in India, where I earned my
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dr. MGR University. I started my career as
a staff nurse in the Operating Room, and very soon discovered my passion for
teaching as a Nursing Tutor. Alongside these roles, I served as a volunteer
palliative care nurse for children living with HIV. Those experiences were
profoundly life-changing—they reinforced my conviction that empathy and service
are the true foundations of healthcare.
In 2008, I relocated to Kuwait, and two years
later, I joined Royale Hayat Hospital, a leading private healthcare
institution. Through commitment and perseverance, I advanced through various
leadership roles, and in 2018, I was entrusted with the role of Chief Nursing
Officer. In this position, I have worked to create a supportive and inclusive
environment for nurses, led the development of evidence-based policies, and initiated
quality improvement programs that continue to enhance patient outcomes. I take
pride in creating pathways that allow nurses not just to grow professionally,
but to feel valued and empowered as leaders in their own right.
Beyond my hospital responsibilities, I
dedicate time to community health education and mentorship for young nurses. I
strongly believe that healthcare leadership is not about titles but about
creating a ripple effect—nurturing trust, teamwork, and resilience in those we
guide.
Being recognized with the Asia’s Iconic Nursing Leader Award
by the World Research Congress was one of the most humbling moments of my
career. To be acknowledged among esteemed professionals across Asia reminded me
that this recognition is not mine alone—it belongs to every nurse who shows up
with compassion and dedication each day.I am deeply appreciative of the support
and encouragement that the United Research Council provides to
researchers like myself.
As I reflect on my journey, I see it as a
story of resilience, service, and continuous learning. My greatest aspiration
is to inspire future generations of nurses to embrace empathy, innovation, and
leadership, so that together we can transform healthcare into a system that
truly heals with dignity and humanity.
