Dr. Lo Yueh Yea (PhD in Education)

Dr. Lo Yueh Yea (Janice) is an accomplished scholar in the Social Sciences and Humanities, internationally recognised for excellence in academic leadership, teaching innovation, and high-impact research. She is the author of two books and a prolific contributor to WoS- and Scopus-indexed journals, with her work recently ranked in the Top 10% WoS-Indexed Journals Series 2025 (13), reflecting sustained scholarly influence.
In recognition of her scholarly leadership and sustained contributions to teaching and research, she was conferred the dual honours of “Asia’s Academic Leadership Impact Award” and “Asia’s Teaching and Research Excellence Award” by the Asia Awards powered by the World Research Congress, an achievement she received with deep gratitude as a meaningful affirmation of her academic journey and regional impact.As an educator and mentor, Dr. Janice has guided students to achieve silver and bronze research awards and to secure fully funded postgraduate scholarships, including at the University of Sydney.
In her role as B.Ed. (TESL) Undergraduate Program Coordinator, she has provided strategic leadership in curriculum enhancement, student development, and quality assurance, fostering academic excellence and holistic growth. Her academic leadership extends beyond her institution through service as an external programme assessor, keynote and invited speaker, and international adjudicator for debate, storytelling, 3MT, and innovation competitions, contributing to academic standards and research capacity building at national and international levels. Her contributions have been recognised with Best Paper, Best Presentation, and Gold Innovation in Teaching and Learning Awards. Beyond academia, Dr. Janice remains deeply committed to community engagement, having volunteered in English education for young learners since 2016. She exemplifies academic leadership with growing international impact, advancing excellence in teaching, research, and societal contribution across borders.
